Breitling watch prices 2026: Navitimer, Chronomat and every model

Every retail figure on this page comes from Breitling's own US price list, checked in October 2026. Where a pre-owned figure appears, it is an honest estimate and the basis for it is stated, because nobody can quote a single true second-hand price for a watch that trades across dozens of marketplaces.

The short answer

New Breitlings run from $3,700 to $80,000, but that span is misleading. Almost everything people actually buy sits between $4,900 and $10,300.

Cheapest Breitling

$3,700 Endurance Pro 44

Cheapest mechanical

$4,850 Chronomat 32

Typical steel diver

$5,700 Superocean 42

$10,300 Navitimer B01

How Breitling pricing works in 2026

Breitling prices are built almost entirely around the movement inside, not the case size or the collection name. Once you understand that, the whole catalogue becomes readable.

There are three tiers. At the bottom sit the SuperQuartz models, where the Endurance Pro lives at $3,700. In the middle are watches using outsourced or simpler automatic calibres, which covers most three-hand models between $4,850 and $7,200. At the top are the in-house chronographs built on the B01 calibre, and those cluster tightly around $9,550 to $10,650 regardless of which collection they wear.

This is why a Navitimer B01 Chronograph costs $10,300 whether you buy the 41mm, the 43mm or the 46mm. You are paying for the movement, and the case is almost incidental to the price. The same logic explains why an Avenger B01 44 at $9,650 sits within a few hundred dollars of a Premier B01 42 at $9,750: different watches, same engine.

The one thing that breaks the pattern is precious metal. A red gold Navitimer B01 46 is $54,900 against $10,300 in steel, a multiple of more than five. Gold is where Breitling pricing stops being rational and starts being a materials bill.

Navitimer prices: the slide rule icon

The Navitimer has been in continuous production since 1952 and is the watch most people picture when they hear the brand name. The circular slide rule bezel is the signature, and it is also the reason the dial looks busier than anything else Breitling makes.

Model 2026 retail Est. pre-owned
Navitimer Automatic GMT 41, steel $6,450 ~$4,000-$4,800
Navitimer B09 Chronograph 41, two-register $7,900 ~$4,800-$5,700
Navitimer B01 Chronograph 41, steel $10,300 ~$6,500-$7,500
Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43, steel $10,300 ~$6,500-$7,500
Navitimer B01 Chronograph 46, steel $10,300 ~$6,200-$7,200
Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cosmonaute, hand-wound $11,000 ~$7,000-$8,500
Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43 Perpetual Calendar $30,200 ~$19,000-$23,000
Navitimer B01 Chronograph 46, red gold $54,900 ~$36,000-$43,000

The detail worth knowing: the B01 costs the same in all three sizes. If you are choosing between 41, 43 and 46 millimetres, price is not a factor and you should simply buy the one that fits. That is unusual, and it catches out buyers who assume the bigger watch costs more.

The Automatic GMT 41 at $6,450 is the quiet value pick of the line. It keeps the slide rule and the silhouette, drops the chronograph, and saves almost $4,000.

Chronomat prices: the widest range in the catalogue

The Chronomat was drawn in 1984 for the Frecce Tricolori, the Italian air force display team, and it carries the most recognisable bracelet in the brand's history. It is also the collection with the widest price spread, running from $4,850 to over $11,000.

Model 2026 retail Est. pre-owned
Chronomat 32, steel, quartz $4,850 ~$2,700-$3,300
Chronomat 32, steel with diamond bezel $5,450-$5,750 ~$3,000-$3,700
Chronomat Automatic 36, steel $5,950 ~$3,500-$4,200
Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 $6,700 ~$4,000-$4,900
Chronomat B31 Automatic 40 $7,200 ~$4,400-$5,300
Chronomat B01 Chronograph 42 $9,550 ~$6,000-$7,000
Super Chronomat B01 44 $10,650 ~$6,500-$7,800
Super Chronomat Automatic 38 $11,100 ~$6,700-$8,000

The Chronomat 32 at $4,850 is the cheapest mechanical entry into Breitling, though it is a quartz movement in a 32mm case and reads as a women's watch in most markets. If what you want is the Chronomat look in a men's size with an automatic movement, the real entry is the B31 Automatic 40 at $7,200.

Superocean prices: the flat-rate diver

The Superocean is the most straightforwardly priced collection Breitling makes. Nearly every steel model costs $5,700 regardless of whether you pick 42, 44 or 46 millimetres, which makes the decision purely about wrist size.

Model 2026 retail Est. pre-owned
Superocean Automatic 36, steel $5,600 ~$3,300-$4,000
Superocean Automatic 42, steel, rubber strap $5,700 ~$3,500-$4,200
Superocean Automatic 42, steel bracelet $5,850 ~$3,600-$4,300
Superocean Automatic 44, steel $5,700 ~$3,500-$4,200
Superocean Automatic 46, steel $5,700 ~$3,400-$4,100
Superocean Automatic 42, bronze $6,700 ~$4,000-$4,900
Superocean Automatic 46 Super Diver $7,600 ~$4,600-$5,600
Superocean Automatic 42, titanium $8,600 ~$5,200-$6,300

Alongside the Navitimer, the Superocean is one of the two Breitling lines that holds value best on the second-hand market. The slim-cased 42 in particular has found a following since the 2022 redesign.

Avenger prices: the cheapest way into a men's automatic

The Avenger is the utilitarian end of the range, and the Avenger Automatic 42 at $4,900 is the least expensive automatic Breitling in a conventional men's size. The Night Mission versions add a black DLC-coated titanium case and roughly $1,700.

Model 2026 retail Est. pre-owned
Avenger Automatic 42, steel $4,900 ~$2,800-$3,500
Avenger Automatic GMT 44, steel $5,550 ~$3,200-$4,000
Avenger Automatic 42 Night Mission, titanium $6,600 ~$3,900-$4,700
Avenger Automatic GMT 44 Night Mission $7,250 ~$4,300-$5,200
Avenger B01 Chronograph 42 Night Mission $9,550-$9,750 ~$5,700-$6,900
Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission $9,650-$9,850 ~$5,800-$7,000
Avenger B01 Chronograph 42, steel $10,100 ~$6,000-$7,200
Super Avenger B01 Chronograph 46 $10,200 ~$6,000-$7,300

Premier, Top Time and Professional prices

These three collections cover the ends of the range that the big four do not. The Premier is the dress line, the Top Time is the retro-flavoured chronograph, and Professional holds the quartz tool watches including the cheapest Breitling of all.

Model 2026 retail Est. pre-owned
Endurance Pro 44, SuperQuartz, Breitlight $3,700 ~$2,000-$2,600
Endurance Pro 44, IRONMAN and university editions $3,900-$4,350 ~$2,200-$3,000
Aerospace EVO, SuperQuartz, titanium $5,100 ~$2,900-$3,600
Aerospace B70, titanium $5,300 ~$3,100-$3,800
Lady Premier 32 $5,000 ~$2,800-$3,400
Top Time B31 Automatic $5,850 ~$3,400-$4,200
Top Time B01 Chronograph 41 $7,650-$8,050 ~$4,500-$5,600
Premier B01 Chronograph 42 $9,750 ~$5,500-$6,800
Premier B09 Chronograph 40 $9,950 ~$5,600-$6,900
Premier B15 Duograph 42, split-seconds $12,450 ~$7,200-$8,900
Premier B25 Datora 42, triple calendar $15,500 ~$9,000-$11,000

The Endurance Pro deserves a note. At $3,700 it is the only Breitling most people can reach without a second thought, and it is genuinely good at what it does: a thermocompensated quartz movement accurate to about ten seconds a year, in a case made of Breitlight, a polymer composite lighter than titanium. What it is not is a mechanical watch, and if the appeal of the brand for you is the movement, this is the wrong entry point.

What a Breitling actually costs you: the depreciation problem

This is the part most price guides skip, and it matters more than the retail figure. Breitling watches lose money. Typical depreciation runs 20 to 40 percent off retail, and roughly a third of that happens inside the first year of ownership.

The pattern is consistent across the collections:

  • Navitimer and Superocean hold up best, commonly retaining 60 to 70 percent of retail.
  • Entry models and less popular references retain 50 to 60 percent.
  • Newer in-house references such as the AB01-era Navitimers hold better than the older outsourced-movement generations, because the movement and finishing improved materially.

There is a straightforward way to use this. Grey market dealers routinely sell brand new, unworn Breitlings at around 20 percent below retail, because production comfortably exceeds demand. A $10,300 Navitimer B01 is often available new in the low $8,000s from a reputable grey dealer. You trade the manufacturer warranty for the dealer's own, and you skip the steepest part of the depreciation curve before it happens to you.

None of this makes Breitling a bad buy. It behaves better than almost every fashion-branded watch and it is a real Swiss manufacture with its own chronograph movement. It simply does not behave like Rolex, and anyone telling you a new Breitling is an investment is selling something.

Where these numbers come from

Retail prices are Breitling's published US figures, checked in October 2026. The pre-owned column is an estimate, not a quoted listing: it applies the depreciation bands above to each model's retail price, tightening the discount for the Navitimer and Superocean and widening it for entry references. Real second-hand prices move with condition, box and papers, and which marketplace you use, so treat the ranges as a starting point for negotiation rather than a valuation.

Buying pre-owned? Verify it first

The gap between retail and the second-hand market is exactly where counterfeit Navitimers and Chronomats are sold, and the slide rule bezel is one of the most faked details in watchmaking. Frequently asked questions

How much is a Breitling watch in 2026?

New Breitlings start at $3,700 for the Endurance Pro 44 and run past $80,000 for the Premier B21 Tourbillon. The bulk of the catalogue sits between $4,900 and $10,300: an Avenger Automatic 42 is $4,900, a Superocean Automatic 42 is $5,700, a Navitimer Automatic GMT 41 is $6,450, a Chronomat B01 42 is $9,550, and the in-house Navitimer B01 chronograph is $10,300 in every case size.

What is the cheapest Breitling watch?

The Endurance Pro 44 at $3,700. It uses a thermocompensated SuperQuartz movement in a lightweight Breitlight case rather than a mechanical movement, which is how the price stays low. The cheapest mechanical Breitling is the Chronomat 32 at $4,850, and the cheapest men's-sized automatic is the Avenger Automatic 42 at $4,900.

How much does a Breitling Navitimer cost?

A Navitimer Automatic GMT 41 is $6,450 and the three-register Navitimer B01 Chronograph is $10,300 in 41mm, 43mm and 46mm alike. The two-register B09 Chronograph 41 is $7,900, the B02 Cosmonaute is $11,000, and the B19 Perpetual Calendar is $30,200. A red gold B01 46 reaches $54,900.

Do Breitling watches hold their value?

No, not well. Breitlings typically lose 20 to 40 percent of retail once they leave the shop, and roughly a third of that drop happens in the first year. The Navitimer and Superocean hold up best, often retaining 60 to 70 percent, while entry models fall to 50 to 60 percent. Breitling does better than most fashion-branded watches, but it does not behave like Rolex, and you should expect to lose money on a new purchase.

Is it cheaper to buy a Breitling from a grey market dealer?

Yes. Grey dealers commonly sell brand new, unworn Breitlings at roughly 20 percent below official retail, because production comfortably exceeds demand. The trade-off is that the manufacturer warranty may not apply, so you rely on the dealer's own instead. Buying privately pre-owned is cheaper again, and that is also where counterfeits enter the market.

What is the difference between a Chronomat and a Navitimer?

The Navitimer is the 1952 pilot's chronograph with the circular slide rule bezel, and it is the more formal, more expensive line. The Chronomat is the 1984 sports chronograph with the rouleaux bracelet and rider tabs, designed for the Italian air force display team. A Chronomat B01 42 is $9,550 against $10,300 for a Navitimer B01, but the Chronomat line reaches much further down, starting at $4,850.

Did Breitling raise prices in 2026?

Breitling has raised prices steadily through the 2020s, as has every Swiss brand, driven by movement costs, gold prices and currency. The figures here are Breitling's current published US retail prices, checked in October 2026. Swiss brands typically adjust at the start of a calendar year, so expect these to move upward rather than downward.
