WatchScanning ("the Service") uses AI to analyze wristwatch photos for model identification, authenticity indicators, and estimated market value. The Service is for informational purposes only. It is not a certified appraisal, authentication, or valuation service.

2. No Professional Authentication or Certification

Users acknowledge that outputs generated by the Service:

• Are not professional authentication.
• Are not certified appraisals.
• Are not legally binding for insurance, customs, resale, or litigation.
• Do not replace inspection by a certified watchmaker, jeweler, auction house, or laboratory.

3. Accuracy Disclaimer

The Service uses machine learning models that can sometimes produce incomplete or inaccurate results depending on image quality, lighting, obstructions, or other limitations. WatchScanning does not guarantee accuracy. Always verify important information on your own.

4. User Responsibility & Financial Disclaimer

Users are solely responsible for any financial decisions based on the Service's output, including but not limited to:

• Buying or selling watches.
• Trading or negotiating.
• Insurance claims.
• Customs declarations.
• Inheritance or estate valuation.

WatchScanning is not liable for financial losses, disputes, or damages arising from reliance on its outputs.

5. Counterfeit Goods Disclaimer

The Service may assist in identifying counterfeit watches; however:

• Identification of replicas or counterfeits does not authorize their sale.
• Users are responsible for complying with applicable laws regarding counterfeit goods.

WatchScanning is not responsible for legal consequences related to counterfeit possession or distribution.

6. User Content Rights

By uploading images or text ("User Content"), you confirm you have legal rights to that content. You grant WatchScanning a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Process the content for analysis.
• Transmit it securely to AI providers for model inference.
• Temporarily retain content to improve detection and reporting (if permitted).

You may request deletion of retained content as permitted under Norwegian privacy law.

7. Prohibited Usage

Users agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract training data.
• Upload illegal, offensive, or copyright-restricted material.
• Use the Service to facilitate the sale of counterfeit goods.
• Bypass rate limits, API restrictions, or system security.

Violation may result in suspension or permanent access loss.

8. AI & Third-Party Processing

Analysis is done using AI models that may be hosted by third-party providers. Your content is sent securely to these providers only for analysis, not for advertising or model training without your consent.

9. Rate Limiting & Abuse Prevention

WatchScanning may use rate limits, CAPTCHA, IP limits, or access controls to prevent abuse. Users may not circumvent such limitations.

10. Liability Limitation

To the fullest extent allowed by Norwegian law, WatchScanning is not liable for indirect damages, financial losses, data loss, reputational damage, or commercial disputes. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service, if anything.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Refund Policy

All credit purchases are final. Credits are a digital consumable product and are non-refundable once purchased. Each scan permanently consumes credits the moment analysis begins — this process cannot be reversed.

• Purchased credits do not expire and remain on your account until used.
• No refunds will be issued for unused credits, dissatisfaction with results, or accidental purchases.
• If a scan fails due to a technical error on our end, credits are automatically refunded to your account balance.
